What brought you to The Common School?
I first discovered The Common School when I arrived in the Pioneer Valley just after graduation from college. Late in my college career I realized that the field of education was my passion. The Common School was exactly the kind of progressive and innovative school I aspired to be a part of. I jumped at the chance to join the team!
Tell us about a favorite teaching moment at The Common School:
While a part of the administration, I was welcomed into the teaching community from the start. There have been numerous times I have been invited into classrooms to either substitute or share my own skills, from martial arts to mah jong to cross stitching and more. The Common School is truly a place where learning is a shared lifelong pursuit.
What do you like best about The Common School?
I love getting to know each of our students as individuals and watching them flourish in our innovative and exceptional educational setting. I have had the privilege of welcoming alumni I knew as students back to the School as parents! Common School alums amaze me by their varied accomplishments and contributions to the world. I feel honored to have been a small part of their growth and development.
