What brought you to The Common School?

I first learned of The Common School as a teenager. My older sister volunteered and worked for Summerfun at the time. I used to visit her on her breaks and fell in love with the school. I also have friends who attended in the 90s.

Tell us about a favorite teaching moment at The Common School:

My favorite teaching moments are when the whole community comes together. My favorite community moment is this pumpkin harvest 2019 event. I loved leading our special school in songs that made us feel appreciative of our earth. It was such a gorgeous autumn day and every one was present and active in the activities. Coming together on the Bramble Hill Farm land was very beautiful.

What do you like best about The Common School?

I love how much autonomy there is and how the students interact with each other.
