The inclusive community and immersive curriculum of The Common School can be best experienced and understood in person.

So we make a concerted effort to bring applicant families to campus, and applicant students to campus so that we can get to know you and you can get to know us. This process allows us to show you the School and allows us to answer your questions in real-time. The visit also helps us to understand where your child is developmentally and start to understand their preferred learning styles. All of this time spent on campus before the school year begins helps to ensure a smooth transition and clarity on what the community and classroom experience holds at The Common School.

Directions

From the intersection of Routes 9 and 116 in the center of Amherst, travel south on Route 116 for 1.3 miles. The Common School is on the right and shares a driveway with the former Hitchcock Center for the Environment. The School’s office is located upstairs in the Victorian house at the end of driveway.
